I know your interest might be piqued as it was with the neighbor taking a drink at the pond which used to be the original road into the End of the Rainbow Valley.
BUT per the request of a friend, today’s FOTO FRIDAY will be posted later in the day. Aw, it’s the least I can do and it will be worth the wait!
Okay, my buddy Sue has released her public musing and now I can share. Sue needed to fill some time between her hospital appointments yesterday and her friend Catherine came up with a way to fill the time before Sue’s afternoon scans. Seven friends from different avenues of Sue’s life would accompany her at Driftless Axe to throw axes.
Since my grown children probably won’t believe what happens when you hand their Mom an axe/ hatchet, below is proof especially when the target is Cancer. Only two of our group were successful in having their axe hit the target and need to be physically removed from the wood. I was not one of them. My mainly high throws rebounded off the wood, chipping away the wood.
The Driftless Axe’s owner donated his staff’s time and our visit to us since his Mom had breast cancer. We took the monies that would have been spent and it has been given as a donation to Mayo’s Cancer Center in the name of The Driftless Axe. Thank you Driftless Axe.
BTW today’s news couldn’t be better, the scans were clean…
Coincidentally today on my blog page this entry appeared about axe throwing . Take a read from a fellow blogger… Axe throwing is all the rage. We are oh, so with it.
