The new kid I am referring to is not Sprinter, our new kid goat but rather a new merchant in nearby Stoddard in the old church on the Great River Road (Hwy 35) close to the turn for Hwy 162. Gracie’s Hutch is owned by Kelly and Brent Hutchison who actually live in Ferryville, ~ 30 miles down the road. Gracie’s Hutch is a gift shop filled with new, old, upcycled and repurposed items.
Empty nesters after raising their 6 children , the Hutchisons rented store space for almost 5 years in Lansing using their nicknames ‘Gracie’ (L ) and her husband’s ‘Hutch’ for Hutchinson in their store’s clever name, Gracie’s Hutch. Since Gracie and Hutch wanted to own their own building, the Old Church was purchased and they moved in March 15th.
One will be quite surprised at the vast array of inventory for great gifts for oneself/others like clothing, signs, accessories including locally made jewelry, decorative pieces, painted furniture, knick knacks, etc…
Gracie’s Hutch will be having a Grand Opening: May 4th 9am-5pm. Stop by and tell them Karen sent you. You just never know what you’ll find… and you know those are some of the best treasures!
*In June Gracie’s Hutch will also be open on Wednesdays.
